A CLOWN NAMED CURLY

12th May 4pm

I strongly believe there is a clown in us all just waiting to burst out when the smell of the grease paint and the roar of the crowd beckons our inner fool.

Although Curly is very much a reluctant jester to start off with he tentatively and sometimes VERY energetically takes us through the 7 steps to make the perfect clown. We the audience rapidly realise that this quest is also about the life quest of the man behind the Leichner No 6 smile he has painted on his face to hide from the world.

Through many failed stunts and a dance routine that would leave an Olympic athlete breathless we discover that you don’t have to be the perfect clown to succeed you just have to be the best clown YOU can be!

Frank Hussey’s incredible charming and tender one-man show in SparkFest is a little gem and provided many beautiful moments for children and adults alike. A MUST SEE!
